Start with the street map
Open Bugis, then view the station exits. The schematic rail map helps you plan the train journey; the street map helps you understand where each entrance sits. Select an exit marker to inspect that entrance before requesting a walking route.
Choose walking time over straight-line distance
The closest entrance on a straight line may require a longer walk around roads or buildings. SG MRT can compare actual walking-route times for up to three geographically nearby entrances. This compares the candidates returned by the routing service; it is not a guarantee about every entrance or access condition.
Meeting a friend at Bugis
Share the station link and agree on a labelled exit in your message. A station-only link contains the public station ID, not your current coordinates. Re-open the map when you arrive and follow the physical exit signs. An entrance route does not certify step-free access, lift availability or opening hours.
When the street map is unavailable
The rail network map and station search remain available in the native app without internet. Street tiles and walking directions require OneMap and a network connection. If location is unavailable, select the station manually and use its exit overview.
Match the exit to your destination
Use these selected landmarks from the operator’s station guide to narrow your choice. This is not a complete exit list. Some destinations have several approaches; check the signs and actual entrance when you arrive.
| Exit | Example landmarks |
|---|---|
| A | Bugis Village · Sim Lim Square |
| B | Haji Lane · Raffles Hospital |
| C | Bugis Junction · National Library |
| D | Liang Seah Street · The Gateway |
| E | DUO Tower · Parkview Square |

Planning a route with luggage or a mobility aid
SBS Transit lists street-to-concourse lifts at exits D and E. They are useful starting points when checking a step-free approach, but your destination entrance and the rest of the walk also matter. Temporary outages can change the route, so ask station staff if you need assistance.
A walking-time estimate does not verify every path’s accessibility. For a meeting, send the exit letter, a recognisable landmark and the level where you will wait rather than relying on the station’s centre point.
