Singapore MRT last train: check the station and direction

The last train depends on the station, direction and day of travel. A single network-wide closing time cannot tell you whether your whole journey is still possible.

How to check tonight’s service

Open a station, choose First / last trains and read the row for your direction. The table describes scheduled departures from that station. Check the destination on the train and platform signs before boarding. Use the station selector below to request today’s published timetable; it does not use your location.

A last departure is not a last connection

A train may still leave your starting station after the last useful connection at an interchange. Plan the complete station-to-station journey as well as checking individual station times. Leave time to enter the station and change platforms. Extra walking time and service changes can affect a late journey.

What does +1 mean?

A time marked +1 falls after midnight on the next calendar day relative to the service date shown. Near midnight, pay attention to the table’s date and the operator’s service-day notices. A missing time means no usable entry was returned; it does not prove a station is closed.

Scheduled times and service changes

SG MRT separates published timetable times from live service advisories. Timetables are not live arrival predictions. Maintenance, disruptions and special events can change service. For a time-critical journey, follow current operator notices and station staff.

A four-step check before travelling late

  1. Read the service date, including any next-day marker for departures after midnight.
  2. Match the row to your starting station, line and travel direction. The opposite direction can have a different last train.
  3. For a transfer, check the onward service from the interchange as well, allowing time to change platforms and wait.
  4. Plan the walk after your final station and check the operator’s service notices before leaving.

Why the first leg can still leave you short

Consider an illustrative journey: the first leg leaves at 00:10 and takes 15 minutes; changing platforms takes another eight minutes; the last onward train leaves at 00:30. You would reach that platform at 00:33, so boarding the first train would not complete the journey. These are example times, not the timetable for any station.

Each leg must work in sequence. An earlier closing connection can require an earlier departure from your origin. If a lookup fails, an empty result does not mean there is no last-train limit.

Late arrivals at Changi Airport

The airport branch connects with the East West Line at Tanah Merah and the Downtown Line at Expo. Check the connection toward your actual destination rather than treating the latest departure from the airport as a promise of a complete journey. Changi’s transport page distinguishes onward connections; near closing time, recheck the official page and station information.
