Singapore rail travel

Find your route. Understand the journey.

A network map shows how stations connect. A timetable tells you when services are scheduled. A street map helps you reach the actual entrance. Use each for the question it can answer before setting off.

Station codes, transfers and exits

Letters in a station code identify the line; the number identifies a station on that line. Bugis has EW12 and DT14 because it serves two lines. These are station codes, not exit numbers. A station marker on a rail diagram is also not the location of every street entrance.

Examples of station codes
CodeLineHow to read it
EWEast West LineCheck the direction toward your destination on that line.
DTDowntown LineAt an interchange, match the station name and the second line’s code.
CGChangi Airport branchCheck onward connections at Expo or Tanah Merah.

For a journey, check the origin and destination stations, transfers, service times for your travel day, and the final walk. Straight-line distance to an entrance, walking-route distance and estimated time answer different questions; one map pin is not enough to choose the most convenient approach.

Choose the guide for your journey

Singapore MRT last train: check the station and direction

The last train depends on the station, direction and day of travel. A single network-wide closing time cannot tell you whether your whole journey is still possible.

Bugis MRT exits: find an entrance before you walk

Bugis connects the East West and Downtown lines. A station name alone is not a meeting point: agreeing on an exit helps you and your friends reach the same side of the station.

Singapore MRT offline map: what works without mobile data?

An offline rail map is useful underground or before you have a local SIM. It is important to know which features are included on the device and which need an online service.

Sources, editing and corrections

SG MRT is an independent travel tool. Rail, station and entrance data are adapted from LTA open data. These guides are edited by SG MRT and link to the relevant operator information. Estimated routes, scheduled departures and service advisories are described separately.

The site does not verify every entrance’s current opening status and cannot replace on-site directions. For a correction, send the page link, station and issue to our support address; precise location or journey history is not needed.
